Good examples come from companies involved with the manufacturing of parts for power generation and distribution equipment, offshore platforms, military and commercial marine vessels, rail, and special civil and military vehicles.<br>Due to <strong>chip size<\/strong> one of the most recurring problem during tapping of large parts holes relates to <strong>tools breakage<\/strong>\u2013 think about a blind hole and the evacuation of the chip originated by a M48x5 thread for example.<br><strong>Yamawa<\/strong> experience in developing threading solutions &#8211; matured in almost a century of history &#8211; and the commitment to serve all industries with dedicated products, come to the rescue providing <strong>new specific and innovative solutions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">HVSP series of taps for large diameters<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In particular, the <strong>HVSP series<\/strong> &#8211; part of the <strong>Z-PRO series<\/strong> that recently joined with success the European market &#8211; are <strong>spiral fluted taps<\/strong> specifically designed to solve the issue of chipping and breakage in large diameter blind holes threading. Large size parts generate thick and long chips that are difficult to eject, increasing the risks of chip tangling and cutting edge chipping.<br>On this basis, Yamawa designed HVSP taps with <strong>three key innovative elements<\/strong>: the BLF thread geometry, a special geometry of the cutting edge, and an unique flute design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"HVSP taps for threading large forged parts\" width=\"580\" height=\"326\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/B7vMgnWUuAQ?start=40&amp;feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Innovative features<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>BLF shape<\/strong> on full thread portion delivers <strong>excellent cutting performances<\/strong> enabling the prevention of flute chipping problems. The <strong>special geometry<\/strong> in cutting edge <strong>prevents chip incursion<\/strong> from the back side of chamfer thread portion during the reverse motion. To maximize their effectiveness, HVSP large diameter taps undergo an <strong>oxidation treatment<\/strong> that enables flutes to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yamawa.eu\/ro\/the-effectiveness-of-oxidizing\/\">retain more oil<\/a><\/strong> during tapping. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The oxidation treatment helps <strong>avoid welding problems<\/strong> on the thread portion of the tap <strong>and galling<\/strong> on tapped thread surface; the use of straight tapping oil in combination with the HVSP ensures therefore <strong>excellent internal surfaces<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is worth noting that HVSP standard stock of taps extends from size <strong>M12<\/strong> to <strong>M48<\/strong> and from<strong> 1&#8243;<\/strong> to <strong>2&#8243;<\/strong> for <strong>UN threads<\/strong>, therefore meeting the most of heavy industry\u2019s needs.
